Well the app on my phone doesn’t work, was told Telstra smart modem was to smart for the app yet I have 10 year old appliances at home that adapt to my Wi-Fi easy , i’ve brand-new house security systems that adapt to the app. Like I had issues with advantage air apps 10 years ago on my old system, like the product is good, it’s just the app so the convenience isn’t there anymore, I just don’t know why so many air-conditioning companies only use advantage air, maybe they the only ones that run the product, would love some fee... read more
Planned obsolescence of the wall controller tablets is ethically questionable. When (not if) it fails, you can't replace with your own tablet. You must pay $1000+ for another dodgy Advantage Air tablet which is so locked down you can't update the Android OS. And then the cycle starts again. In summary - expensive, designed to fail, and the features aren't that great anyway.
DO NOT USE. We had ducted reverse cycle installed by them. The sales rep lied, they left a massive mess for us to clean up, they didn’t remove the old ducted evap unit (which we paid to have removed) until we repeatedly called them demanding its removal, they disconnected our split system without asking which we have had to have reconnected at our cost and after about a year and a half the outside unit fell off the wall. We went with them thinking they were reputable, but never again. Biggest mistake we’ve ever made.
Customer service shabby still waiting for our call to be returned. Keep getting voicemail. Frustrating!!!
Called the service and troubleshooting line and both times got a call back promptly. The problem with the tablet has been rectified, it's done its updates and is working well. Thanks to the tech guys in Perth.
