For several decades, my trusty 4 qt. RevereWare stainless steel pot served me very well. And then one side of the handle's metal attachment point developed a bad crack. I took that pot to Advanced Welding, and a welder named Marty repaired the cracked handle attachment (for a very reasonable fee). It looks very good. More importantly, I have used that pot many times during the past eighteen months, with no problems. The repaired handle is very sturdy. I expect that it will continue to be usable for many years ahead.
