I needed a pair of engine magnetos for my aging house generator and literally the ONLY place I could find that stocked these was ASAP (Advanced Service And Parts) I ordered what I needed, got the parts very quickly, and my generator was back up and running a week after I first noticed it not starting. Wow! what a great experience. Found that I needed a new fuel pump for my 5ECD Kohler genny the Sunday before we were leaving for our annual Labor Day boat trip... Ordered Sun evening, with overnight shipment. Received an email Mon morning that the order had been processed and that it would ship Monday for Tuesday delivery (the website shows if there's stock). Amazing customer service for the online side. Haven't been to the storefront. However they are responsive and understanding when I ordered the wrong part and had to cancel. Will definetly use them for all my boat generator parts needs. Huge selection of hard to find circuit/control boards for all types of generators even thoes from the early 80s. Good prices as well.
I was out of ideas and things to try and was scheduled to take my coach for an hour drive and pay up to $560 for just a diagnostic from Cummins dealer. Another repair place suggested I replace the control board because they are inexpensive and fail often. When I called asap and spoke to Anne I explained that I was thinking of buying a board but was not sure that was the problem. She asked me if I want to speak with one of their master techs. Dennis at ASAP went above and beyond to help me diagnose and replace an obsolete voltage regulator on a PowerTech Generator on my Prevost Motorhome. PowerTech was less than helpful and partsfortechs.com was fortunately recommended to me by a fellow POG member. I got the parts I needed and the competent advice from ASAP and Dennis to get my motorhome Genny repaired. I am very pleased with their work ethic and help and will definetly use and recommend them in the future!
