We are very happy with the end result of Gary and his assistant staining our wood deck. After prep work in the late fall, Gary applied a coat of semi-transparent stain, but over the winter our deck developed some dark streaks of discoloration likely due to extractive tannins and resins. Gary agreed the initial result was not 100% satisfactory, so he power washed and re-prepped the deck surface and applied a coat of solid stain after consulting with the stain company. Gary was great to work with. He is very thorough with the prep work, even on an older house with peeling paint and lots of cracks on the exterior. I was impressed that he offered to trim the bushes that were in the way of painting by himself. He went out of his way to work through the long weekend to finish the job before the rain came. It was a 2 story house, and Gary does quality work, making sure to notify me of repairs that needed to be attended to. Gary and his team were considerate, professional, and very meticulous with their work. We also need to replace the faux shutters outside our house , and he did a great job replicating the product. We couldn’t have asked for a better paint job. All our neighbors praised his work! Highly recommend Advanced Painting Systems for your painting needs!
