I’ll preface this by saying that I have generally failed to find empathetic neurology care. They seem to forget or ignore the fact that migraines and seizures are often triggered by stress. The people on the phones are so bad that for once I understand why they make it so hard to reach someone. The people at the front desk are snarky and nasty too. Healthcare in this country is no longer a service, it’s an abuse that people with chronic illnesses have to navigate.
I am very disappointed with the customer service at this office. I called reception multiple times and every time I was placed on hold for very long periods, sometimes close to 20 minutes. This happened repeatedly, and it honestly felt like I was being ignored or that they were hoping I would just hang up. After almost seven calls, I finally gave up. Normally I have a very good experience here, but today’s visit definitely deserves a review. Literally wasted our time in coming in, because it turns out my results aren’t even ready. As someone who had to take time off to drive over an hour, to then wait in an exam room for over 30 minutes to then be told my appt should have never been scheduled in the first place is insanity, especially considering this is a medical facility. Hi, I recently received care at this office and came here to applaud Dr. Gandelman and her team. They are very caring and did a very comprehensive exam.
