I met Dr Chengelis after 10 months of symptoms and other doctors telling me my scans were normal when I knew nothing about what I was experiencing was normal. My HIDA showed 87% ejection fraction and I was told biliary hyperkinetic gallbladder was a very controversial diagnosis and that I would have a hard time finding a surgeon who would remove it. Dr Chengelis is outstanding to say the least! Very professional and kind. I was afraid to have my hernia surgery for no reason! He made the entire process stress free. His office staff is also very kind. If you have to have surgery this is way it should be everywhere. The billing was explained in detail beforehand, so there are no surprises. Thanks again Dr!
I had hernia surgery in August 2024 by another surgeon. It seemed to have gone well until about 2 months after surgery. When I asked about it I was told it was probably scar tissue building up and didn’t think anything more about it even though it was bulging out again. In the summer of 2025, I was told by another Dr that I should get it repaired again. I googled a hernia surgeon with the best reviews and found Dr Chengelis. I had a small bowel surgery and all went well, it healed very nice
5/5 Stars – Truly the best I can’t recommend Dr. Chengelis enough. My husband has had to go under his knife several times now, and I can honestly say he has saved his life. Beyond being an incredible surgeon, he is down-to-earth and actually takes the time to listen. If you’re looking for someone you can trust completely when the stakes are high, he is the person. I’m so grateful my husband is in his care.
