I had an endoscopy for reflux. It went well, the staff is nice and the PA, who I saw at follow-up was very nice. They gave me samples of a medication to try; a medication that you have to get through them. To get it through a pharmacy costs hundreds of dollars in co-pay. I didn't work for me, so I called and asked to try another medication. Instead of prescribing an alternative, they sent a prescription for an OTC medication.
