I'll start by talking about the front desk clerk, her name is Maria, a totally unprepared and rude person. I don't know how a clinic lets someone with this level of professionalism serve patients. I also need to talk about something that's bothering me... I have health insurance and every time I went to this clinic (twice to be exact) I paid a fee because the plan didn't cover 100%. Went for a LASIK screening. Appointment time was 2:15p, and the office was overly busy with lots of people waiting. My name was initially called at 2:40p, and then was asked to wait subsequently 2 more times. The appointment wasn’t complete for over 2 hours. Then, after spending 2 hours at the office for this evaluation visit, I was told that I will need to schedule an appointment with a primary care physician, and then another ~3 hour evaluation appointment at the clinic before we can proceed with the surgery. They have an excellent team, I was treated well by everyone at the clinic. Unfortunately, the problem with the schedule is recurrent. My appointment was scheduled for 1:15pm, at 1:45pm I asked the reception when I would be seen, but there were still 3 people in front of me. I would probably be seen more than 2 hours late. Anyway, I cancelled the appointment and had to reschedule. They need to improve this schedule with the patient, the tolerance should be the same as the patient has for the doctor.
