You have a free standing woodstove that had not been cleaned in over two years. You use your woodstove on a daily basis acting as a heat source. beware of scammers Advanced came, glanced in our chimney, told us that we needed a $2000 liner because the chimney was stage 3 glazing. Charged us $90 instead of the $40 quoted for an inspection. He handed us a brochure in his vehicle and left. We talked to several other chimney sweeps. They all said, "if the tiles are not cracked, you don't need a new liner."
