Good bang for the buck! – I have been a customer at Advanced Auto for 25 years+; my work has lead me all over the country, but Advanced is the best independent garage I have ever used, and when living in the greater Sacramento area I still drive the extra distance to get to Advanced. The quality of work is as good as the dealers' service centers, but the labor prices are considerably lower. Reliable Mechanics – Advanced auto has always gone the extra mile for me. They have worked around my schedule, supplied a shuttle and a discount at the local car rental when needed, answered all of my questions, given me good advice on my car as well as advice when I decided it was time to find a new car. They have even checked up with my father, when he came in for repairs, to make sure that I was happy with my repairs and that everything was ok with my car. They make you feel like a friend. THE WORST EVER!!!!! – This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had with a mechanic in my life! Not only were the prices totally unreasonable, but the sales clerks were shady and when I questioned them about their sky-rocket prices, they were rude and condescending. They will try to justify their ridiculous mark-up on parts by their "unbeatable warranty" but BEWARE because, from my perspective, the one year warranty that they offered me did not compensate for the 118% mark-up that they added to the value of the part (... read more

bad repairs – First I have to say that I stopped taking my car to this place around 2001. The repairs were not good, and they always kept my car for a while and overcharged me. Also, the sales guys were slimy. I don't know how else to put it. I switched to Center City in Davis and have been very happy with them. Hopefully they've changed since then.

DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE! – I recently had Advanced repair my car. THey did not take enough care in diagnosing the problem with my car, did incomplete repairs and thanks to them, my car broke down again two weeks later on Christmas day with the sane problem that I now have to pay someone else to do again. DON'T LET THIS NIGHTMARE HAPPEN TO YOU! These people are practiced at sounding reliable and competent, but don't make my mistake. I am here to tell you it is all an act.
