Swindle Alert! This Guy is No Mechanic—He's Your Enemy! I took my car to Advance Auto Care, and Jeff tried to scam me quoting $6,000 to repair the seals. That seemed outrageous, since a new engine costs $4000. So, I went to the Honda dealership instead—they fixed everything for only $788.
