I used to recommend this shop to anyone I knew lived in the Plainfield/avon area. From now on I will caution anyone I can who needs more than a simple oil change and a check engine light checked since that seems like that is the scope of their capabilities these days. I’m not sure if they have recently had a new mechanic start or what but the quality in service and customer service has dropped. Sad to see an Avon staple stoop to such shady practices. Our spring break road trip to see out of state family did not go as expected, as suddenly we were broken down, on the side of a busy highway, in what seemed to be the middle of nowhere. However, once we found Advanced Automotive, It was like we were with our family already! Avon is blessed by the team at Advance! Our family van had the alternator die on us on Highway 70. I called around to find out where to get towed and God parted the clouds when we called Advance - Anna and Stacey made the choice clear. We got towed to Advance and they were able to work us in same day! Patrick dove right in. While we waited, our kids got to enjoy hot chocolate, sit on a comfy couch, and watch a movie. I returned to get my Chevy truck brakes looked at and transmission serviced. I trust Advanced Automotive to do a great job every time - and they did. Brakes much better and trany shifts like new.
