DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH SMART HOME SECURITY!! I have been waiting 2 months to get my cameras installed but all I get are canceled appointments and excuse on top of excuse. Now after my 4th failed installation appointment I can't even get someone to answer the phone. And I have no idea how to get out of the contract because no one will answer the phone. Just contact ADT directly if you want a security system through them.
I signed up for ADT in June of this year. The initial payments (2) was made to my CC while the technician was still installing the system. The monthly payments was suppose to be $97, it has not been. It’s been $101.?? a month. Shortly after installation ADT tried to charge my card $400 plus. Good thing I keep my card locked. When I called they said it was a charge from 2017. I have had the worst experience with this company, I'm a 73 year old woman. I live alone . So , I felt the need for this security. I have had nothing but trouble. I feel I have been taken advantage of from this company. My nerves are being affected by these cameras going off constantly. If a bee flies by the driveway camera, it tells me a person is in my driveway. All summer this thing goes off . I've had the cameras for 3 years. They were installed incorrectly. Absolutely terrible customer service. Expect to get the run around if you ever have an issue with anything. Exterior light was working fine until instillation of a flood light/camera. Advised to call an electrician for something they could not fix. $900 worth of equipment later and half of it does not work until we can get someone out, pay more money and fix their issues. DO NOT give this company your business.
