Trust the reviews. I wish I had. ADT has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Not only did our technician take 9 HOURS to install everything - when we cancelled, which they only give you 3 days to do, they got upset about it and were basically insulting me to my husband. DO NOT GET ADT. I WAS LITERALLY ROBBED UNDER SUPERVISION OF ADT. I WAS TRANSFERRED 8 DIFFERENT TIMES AND NOBODY WOULD HELP THIS PHONECALL WAS OVER AN HOUR LONG . THEY WILL NOT LET ME CANCEL THE PLAN WITHOUT PAYING OVER $1000. I NOW HAVE 18K GONE AND THEY WANT ME TO ROB ME OF AN ADDITIONAL $1000 TO CANCEL BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HOLD UP ON THEIR END OF THEIR CONTRACT. THE CAMERAS RARELY WORK. I JUST GOT THIS SYSTEM IN APRIL AND HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT ISSUES.
I honestly don't like this. I should have trusted the ratings. The only reason I continue to use this is because im trapped and signed a contract. If I would have known how crappy it was I would have not even bothered and would have just got some off Amazon. Some of the ADT workers are not helpful at all, our alarm went off at night even though no one was breaking in. And the other day all of the detectors went off and scared my children. They lie and lock you in a contract that after saying there is no contract. Then they tell you all you need to do to is pay the equipment off and you will be free of any other charges. Then start charging your for monitoring even though the equipment is not even set up on the home or attached still in the original boxes. So what are you monitoring exactly? Zero stars honestly. The equipment is horrible and the customer service is worse. A lady answered the phone it sound like she was on some type of drugs or alcohol seriously. She wouldn't listen to a word. I've been a customer service representative so I understand how it works and you're supposed to rebuttal. Thats part of the job. But when you directly disrespect what a paying customer is trying to tell you this isn't the line of work for you.
