I ordered the ADT Equipment, but decided I don’t need it, and sent the equipment back to them. It has been weeks, I got no refund from them. I also read the ratings for ADT. I wish I had read the ratings before I ordered that equipment.
The house I purchased had an existing ADT system. ADT said I could keep it and just pay for monthly monitoring, adding that a tech would be required to come out and switch it to my name. Long story short, the tech replaced the system, and unbeknownst to me at the time, added other items, not original to the existing service. The tech told me it was common to upgrade systems and that I wouldn’t be charged, but two weeks later I received a bill for $3,000. Well we are new to the ADT family & these reviews are so opposite to our experience. We upgraded our security system to ADT after being unhappy with Cox HomeLife. I reached out to their customer service team and spoke with an extremely professional representative who explained everything in detail including pricing/cost & had one of their technicians come out to our house within 2 days of me calling. I can't believe the horrible reviews. I've been with ADT almost 5 years in Baton Rouge for my business and before that in Slidell at my home. Never had any issues, always prompt, courteous and professional. In fact, the alarm is so good, in EBR, we actually have to pay the cops 25 a year for so many triggered alarms!! On top of that, they have always gone out of their way to help when bills were late, send equipment etc. Highly recommend!!! The worse please run don't walk This is the biggest scam company ever They lie to get you in contract, change the prices after you sign. Renew contract on their own and won't let you out without paying them thousands of dollars
