My contract says that if ADT increases prices, I have the right to get out of the contract without termination charges if I object in writing. So I objected in writing, I have a delivery receipt, and ADT did not respond within the timeline. I called them today to follow-up and confirm the cancellation. The customer service rep blatantly refused to help me and had the gall to say "don't tell me how to do my job". DO NOT GET ADT. I WAS LITERALLY ROBBED UNDER SUPERVISION OF ADT. I WAS TRANSFERRED 8 DIFFERENT TIMES AND NOBODY WOULD HELP THIS PHONECALL WAS OVER AN HOUR LONG . THEY WILL NOT LET ME CANCEL THE PLAN WITHOUT PAYING OVER $1000. I NOW HAVE 18K GONE AND THEY WANT ME TO ROB ME OF AN ADDITIONAL $1000 TO CANCEL BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HOLD UP ON THEIR END OF THEIR CONTRACT. THE CAMERAS RARELY WORK. I JUST GOT THIS SYSTEM IN APRIL AND HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT ISSUES.
Some dude named Justin from ADT came to my house at 8pm last NIGHT knocking on my door when I didn’t have an appointment for them and even if I did I would never make an appointment for 8 AT NIGHT. then, this morning I went outside and saw that he stepped into my mums that are along my steps! I had an issue with my exterior cameras and called to set up an appointment to have everything checked out. Shawn (not Sure I am spelling that correctly) showed up and I wasn't sure that he was going to be able to handle it in one visit. After a LOT of work on my phone and then the laptop he finally figured everything out then he stuck around to make sure the cameras worked, turned on and were working and the cameras were pointing in the right direction. I highly recommend you do not sign up with this company. I signed up and had their service for two and a half years. I turned my home into a rental and had ADT swap services over to the new tenants and cancel my account. However, they are still charging my credit card along with the my tenant's card. I have called them three times and each time have been told they are not charging my card and my account has been deleted. I have told them time after time that my credit card keeps getting charged, but they just pass me off to ... read more
