I could write a book on how bad this company is along with their sleazy lying salesmen. Never got told about a 3 year contract and having to pay the 75% remaining to cancel it. My wife and I lost our home from hurricane Helene and called to cancel service but they only paused it without telling us so we were continually charged the entire time we rebuilt the home. No credits, no exceptions, ADT is a waste of money. Buy yourself some google cameras and call it a day bud.
JUNK, JUNK, JUNK In theory the ADT system is nice. In reality, it barely ever works. The Google home device keeps falling off line, cameras never work, door sensors never work. ADT is impossible to speak to for any type of customer service. I will likely take all the cameras down, remove every door sensor, and return this junk back to ADT! Worst security system ever!
If I could give less than one star I would. 1. They used high pressure sales tactics to pressure me into letting them install a system. Lied and said that the monthly payment included servicing for technical issues (it does not and the service fee is astronomical). Did not tell me that if I wanted to cancel service I would have to pay upfront for the $5000 of equipment I order to cancel service. 2. The app never works or even connects to the cameras. The incompetence is ridiculous. 45 straight month, we had nothing but false alarms all day every day not because of noise or motion or anything. It was just the sensors going off. They sent technicians out every single time who fixed everything and promised it wouldn’t happen again and we would have a false alarm just days later. I paid $200 a month for the system and I asked for my money back during the month that we could not use the system because of the false alarms.
