My 88year old mom was promised a free installation worth over $750 in her new 1300 sq foot villa. When the tech came he installed $3500 worth of equipment, charged her card over $1000 and the new monthly rate went up. When we called customer service the first two people were nice but could not offer a good solution. Wow! I should have read these reviews before we signed on the dotted line. First, the sales rep came out and said he’s not there to sell us anything, yeah right. When we told him we’re waiting for new windows before we’ll think about installing their system, he flat out lied to our face and said no problem. Our tech will come back out to reinstall the sensors on the new windows at no charge. Right. I am very frustrated and disappointed with ADT. I have been a customer for over 25 years and recently sold my home. I was under contract until 9/27. I called and talked to Brett in the sales department and he assured me if I sign another contract for a year, my old contract penalty will be waived. He told me that if I activate my portable service OR on my first billing my old contract penalty would be waived. I utilize ADT for my apartment business, and this is the absolute worst access control provider I have worked with in my entire life. Truly - this has been the most despicable customer service, and they can't seem to get anything right. I have two accounts: A North account and a South Account. ADT applied a payment intended for my South account to my North account. They then closed the North account and sent me a refund. they're now saying I owe them over $900 for the South Account.
