Horrible customer service. We have since gone with a different home security system. Please learn from our mistakes and go with a different company!
An ADT specialist reached out as we were selling our home. He said that he could eliminate our cancelation fees if the buyers assumed the security system. We assisted in this and the buyers assumed the contract. In July, ADT did not honor this agreement and charged us over $1,300 in new installation and cancelation fees. The rep said he would reach out and get back within 24 hours, which didn't happen. Now he is avoiding emails all together. Im 11 months with installation and birds scratched my front door nest. I called to have it replaced and they said there is nothing they can do and we needed to purchase a new one. I recommend to other home owners to get another company. This company is poor at warranty. -Home in West Virginia- To the reply from ADT you have a poor warranty policy for damage and defective equipment. Misled Into $5,000 Loan Without Full Disclosure — Ongoing dispute I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with ADT. I was told a total cost of $1,103.33 for my security system, and I paid $663 upfront. Was shown an itemized list of equipment and the total cost. Later i find out it was not a complete list of equipment nor was it the correct total.
