Worst decision I ever made. I had paid good money for my system 2x and was assured my bills and everything was taken care of for the old business location. However this was not the case. Then as I talked to every representative that worked for ADT no one was able to resolve the issue *update issue still not resolved 3days later. But I was able to switch to WYZE cameras and much better experience and quality *
I have been an ADT customer for over 6 years. All of the equipment I have from them under the original contract has been paid. I only receive monitoring service from them. I called today to cancel service I no longer and not using. I was told I had a new contract added in 2024, that I don’t recall signing up for, and it is a three year contract until 2027. I was told it would cost over $900 to cancel the contract because I have time remaining. And this contract is only for monitoring and not for equipment. Asked to speak to ... read more
The plus hub was unable to connect to my fios network with two routers. Tried to trouble shoot for hours with their support. Therefore cancelled the service. Was two days (48hrs) over the being charged but the associate was unwilling to refund the fee - Even though the service was never active. Was very surprised and disappointed. They act very friendly on the phone but it’s all a shame. I would suggest looking at other options.
ADT claims to be "a" leader in the home and business security space. From a technical perspective, that claim could very well be true. However, in my humble opinion, there are other more important attributes for a company to have in order to call itself a "leader". Simple concepts and principles like customer service, call handling, billing and contract practices, and more importantly, customer empathy.
