Update Company had had me resend this issue to a bunch of new emails and apps to only advise they will waive fees but only if I stay for 4 more years. Refused and now want to charge my $400 to void the contract they are unavailable to properly service. Scam and waste of time. Am pursuing more formal legal and consumer advocacy options. I have been with ADT for over a decade with maybe two false alarms. I stepped out of the house on Thursday, November 6th forgetting the alarm was set and the alarm went off. ADT called my cell, I answered the call and repeatedly said hello, hello, hello, but received no response. For obvious security reasons, I called ADT to ask why no one responded to their call when I answered the phone. My call to ADT was answered by the AI attendant. ADT - the absolute worst customer service experience, stay away. Had to get new equipment due to the existing 7 yr old equipment constantly failing and sending false alarms. Was told one thing regarding billing at time of new equipment install and turned out it was a complete lie as the following week i received a bill structure that was much different than what I was told at time of install. have had 6 different phone calls with over 23 people between Account Managers and Billing and still no resolution - ask for a Supervis... read more
Be aware that the ADT security system has proven to be unreliable. It frequently experiences glitches, missed alerts, and inconsistent video recordings. I’ve encountered multiple incidents where the alarm deactivated on its own and the video recording stopped unexpectedly. In one particular case, the doorbell camera failed to record a pizza delivery, even though the device was active and motion detection was set to its highest sensitivity.
