They lock you into a 5 year contract and don't offer support unless you pay extra. They also will refuse you an appointment even if they promised one for an inconvenience. They are going more diy based. Might as well pay for a cheaper service that is month to month if you have to do all the work yourself anyways.

Terrible everything. I signed the contract last year and had the install. Every week after install the fire alarm would go off at random and alert the fire department. It was at all hours of the day and night. I called customer service every time to get a technician out and they would always transfer me and the call would drop. Every time. Finally I called to cancel and discontinue service but they said I was locked into a long contract. Next, I got a bill for almost $2,000. I honestly wish I could give ADT 0 stars. Being a business owner I know how hard customer service can be but it is like they purposely train their employees to not allow customers to cancel. I have been on the phone for 1 hour and 11 minutes with no resolution. I have been transferred 6 TIMES!!!! The best part is each agent has assured me they are transferring me to the correct department before putting me on another 20 to 30 min hold just to be told they transferred me to the wrong department. I was pressured into buying their services even after I said no. They installed the system by my back door which I did not want and had told them where I wanted it (front door) but I had my mom sit at the house to wait for them the day of install as I had to work. She told them to install it by back door and they listened to her. They said it would be $300 plus to move it to where I had originally told them I wanted it.
