I was referred to an ADT salesman, who arrived and assessing the situation, came up with an affordable plan for me. I signed an agreement for the plan, and the next day a technician arrived and installed the alarm. He then made sure I understood how to arm and disarm the system. I was also given easy to follow step-by-step instructions and a video. They do want to make sure you understand the system. They want to avoid false alarms.
ADT monitored home security systems are wireless. A wireless home security system does not need electrical power to operate and will not be disconnected if a burglar cuts the electrical wiring leading to your home. This gives you and your family an extra layer of protection.
At first, I was hesitant to get an alarm system, but after our next door neighbor had their house burglarized while on vacation, we are so glad we got ADT. I go to bed every night knowing my family is that much safer.
It's a simple security system but a little expensive compared to the other home alarm providers. It's a very standard alarm system that covers the basics: i.e. a keypad, window and door sensors and motion detectors. The motion detector doesn't work too well with Pets, so the false alarms are a bit high.
I have experience with 3 alarm companies so far. The first 2 were two local companies and the third one was a big shot in Canada. I lost my faith in security companies. I had a huge loss of money and time. ADT is the only company who could help me out with my security
