I now consider ADT one of the WORST services/companies I've ever had to work with - if I could give this company ZERO stars I would. They were billing my account for over a year, when I had no services from them. Then I got bounced around from rep to rep who NEVER resolved the issue for me and kept trying to tell me "we show no active account billing for you at this time." Do not get services with ADT! They only want your money. I have been hung up on numerous occasions when I have tried to call in to fix an issue they created. My mom has been with this company for over 20 years and this is how you treat a loyal customer!
Horrible customer service, a car jacking took place across my street and adt only offers 6,000 recordings a month, but a spiderweb in the middle of the night waving around soaked up all 6,000 recordings and we were unable to help our neighbors due to us not having available clips. Called ADT and they managed to waste 3 hours of my time by non stop sales pitches and then finally told me that they don’t keep a data archive to file in a police report. Avoid this company at all cost
I had an ADT representative come to my home shortly after I moved in. He told me the previous owners had ADT, which I knew, and that by law we could not just keep the system installed but not use it. We had to either pay X amount to have it removed, or we could get a "free upgrade" but pay installation costs, which was less than removing the system altogether. We had an issue with a faulty motion detector. The batteries would die every 3 months. The technician came out and the issue stopped. I now realize that they removed the detector from our devices. He should have replaced it or asked if we no longer wished to use it. I will be switching to Vivant; I’ve heard great things.
