I was looking at a 2021 Subaru Outback that the seller proudly described as having a “clean title.” The mileage was low, the photos looked great, and I was getting excited about the deal. So I paid for a CARFAX report… and the very first thing that popped up was a big red SALVAGE TITLE. Turns out the title was about as “clean” as my muddy hiking boot.
