Really disappointing almond croissant. The outside was burnt in several places, while the inside was still doughy and underbaked. There was also barely any almond filling inside. For something sold as an almond croissant, this was a big letdown. I wouldn’t get it again.
Was truly a disappointment we are local and decided to try this place out, they didn’t get our order in 30 minutes later after I saw other people receive their pay, which would be an indication for the person that took my order that maybe something was wrong. My wife and I are from Kansas City, and we’ve been to lots of French style bakeries and restaurants. This was the first place we tried when we got into Scotts Valley. First off, Wilson and Robert are completely fantastic, these gentleman take pride in their work, service, all of it!! Robert even wrote us a list of places to see and food to try while we were there. It’s warm, comforting, and my favorite item on the menu, typically served with a small side salad, which is just enough. I like to settle in and paint while I eat. Since I work nearby, I sometimes grab a seat by the fireplace and take a quiet pause in the middle of the day. The calm, unhurried atmosphere makes it the perfect place to slow down and reset before seeing my next client.
