I was hoping to leave a stellar review, but I just cannot . I will preface this by saying this isn't my first time on a rail bike. My 8 year daughter and I have done the rail bike in the fingerlakes. We had a fantastic time and even she could pedal it by herself for the entine 2.5 miles, without a complain, without help, or even breaking a sweat on a 80+ degree full sun day. I'm leaving this review in the hope that someone from management sees and addresses this — my family and I went on our first railbike adventure last weekend. It was just my husband and myself pedaling, as our two children are small and couldn't reach the pedals. We were second in line on the way in with the first bike far ahead of us and the rest of the bikes lined up closely behind us. Ignore the bad reviews, we had two adults and two young kids and everyone had a blast. Morning was great on a hot day but if you enjoy the outdoors and being active this was something different and fun to do. Bring snacks and drinks!
I don’t understand the bad reviews because this was a lot of fun! Something different to do outside. It’s a short and sweet trip with some cool views going over the water. Bring a small backpack / fanny pack to hold your water and belongings, there are no baskets or anywhere to store your personal belongings. The back right seat has a hook to hang backpacks.
