I'm leaving this review in the hopes that someone from management sees and addresses this — my family and I went on our first railbike adventure last weekend. It was just my husband and myself pedaling, as our two children are small and couldn't reach the pedals. We were second in line on the way in with the first bike far ahead of us and the rest of the bikes lined up closely behind us. Ignore the bad reviews, we had two adults and two young kids and everyone had a blast. Morning was great on a hot day but if you enjoy the outdoors and being active this was something different and fun to do. Bring snacks and drinks!
I don’t understand the bad reviews because this was a lot of fun! Something different to do outside. It’s a short and sweet trip with some cool views going over the water. Bring a small backpack / fanny pack to hold your water and belongings, there are no baskets or anywhere to store your personal belongings. The back right seat has a hook to hang backpacks. Took our family on this ride 9 am. Was nice, wasn’t really scenic , a lot of trees. But being outside and enjoy the occasional deer was nice. My only complaint, the seats were wet, I asked for a paper towel but nothing was offered. So we all sat in the wet seats. I could have brought a towel if I had known. And if I were working that job instead of chatting for twenty minutes I’d have wiped the seats down for the customers.
I've done other railbiking, first time with Adirondack Railbike. Also the first time I took my son, who has special needs. I wasn't sure how he'd do. 1. He LOVED it. 2. Staff and other riders were amazing. Thank you!
