Brenda and other staff at the registration desk are competent and friendly and answered questions, which are probably asked countless times, with a great deal of kind patience. Nikki, the Head Phlebotomist, is friendly, professional, and a role-model for all phlebotomists. Kudos to these staff who represent this community health center so very well!
All health care I’ve had has been outstanding. No long wait time for appointments. From the time you walk in until you leave you have helpful, courteous staff. Every doctor I have had has been pleasant and helped me understand my problem and the options on what to be done, i’m part of the plans/decisions for my own care and not just told what to do. They listen to what you have to say.
The ER closes at 8:00 pm . Its wonderful that Lake Placid is spending millions on new sport's facilities but shouldn't they be worrying about the lack of medical care ? We had a heart issue & had to call an ambulance to drive us through the dark mountains to another hospital. What emergency room closes its doors at 8:00 pm ? Just making you aware as I wish we knew prior to visiting.
I went in to the emergency room here because I could barely walk after having severe back pain for a couple weeks. I was treated very rudely by both the ER doctor and nurses. Long story short I was given Tylenol and sent on my way. The next day I had to call 911 because I couldn’t get out of bed. At that point I was given proper treatment including physical rehabilitation but of course I had to pay for both visits.
I hope they do close this one in placid is horrible the staff have always been extremely rude over here. No individual deserves that kind of treatment especially when there not feeling well. They been that way for years. Like your bothering them when u coming in for help.sux Just a Mickey mouse show.
