My mother will run out of her thyroid medication in under a week, and this doctor refuses to refill her medication, even though he has blood work. (They did not bother to call with the blood work results until 2 months after the fact.) And they do not have an available appointment until 2 months from now. That would leave my mother without thyroid medication for 2 months. This is very unsafe to go without this medication because she can suffer heart damage among other things. Dr Alavi saved my life 13 years ago, he was working in Illinois at the time. Forever grateful for your wisdom and big heart.
Dr. Alavi has been one of the most attentive and thorough doctors I have ever had. When I sabotaged my diabetic care by not following his directions, he did not chastise or belittle me. Instead, he took immediate, corrective action and got me back on track. I recommend him to anyone seeking help with diabetes management. Everyone in the office is pleasant and patient. I have enjoyed being in their care.
