When my Moms doctor..left and went to Richmond she was passed to Dr.A...horrible experience...ahe stopped giving my Mom the shots she needed and had been recieving for years because ahe disagreed with moms previous Dr..we left and went to Dr Berkowitz..
She was very thorough and professional a pleasure to work with
She billed my insurance company for 90 minutes when she actually spent about 10 minutes and claimed she did exam stating abdomen was soft in-tender and she never did any exam except to listen to lungs only.
She approached my mother with there is my problem patient in my presence. She is not professional.
Outstanding, she is the most caring, most concerned and most helpful doctor I've ever met. She truly cares about her patients and puts their well being above all else. I've been a patient of hers since 2006, and two bouts of cancer, and she has been awesome all along. New Hanover lost a gem when they closed her office. Anyone would be very lucky to have her take care of you. Cannot say enough good about this wonderful Lady.
She is the most caring doctor I have ever been to. Takes time with each patient and answers all your questions, explains everything thoroughly. Very understanding and compassionate. She saved my husbands life, no other doctor gave him a chance to live. He is now cancer free times 10 months. She still monitors him closely and orders regular petscans and CT scans to check to make sure the cancer has not come back. I would highly recommend this doctor if you need an Oncologist.
Do not go to her, not interested in helping patients! Horrible.
