My chronic sciatica was not resolved after Dr. Tandon performed an L4-5 laminotomy with microdiscectomy and L5-S1 laminotomy with removal of synovial cyst. I decided to get a hip X-ray on my own which showed bone on bone. I shared the X-ray with Dr. Tandon's office and was shocked when he recommended they do a fusion! More back surgery? Ridiculous! Instead I got a hip replacement at HSS and I am finally sciatica free. But I often wonder what pain and suffering I would have undergone had I followed his advice for a second bac... read more
