My 87 year old dad arrived at Yannika Guest House with just a few months to live. He was unengaged with his environment and barely able to sit up and breath. Two years later he is talking in sentences and alert. The love and care he has received has made his life so much better. He still has physical problems, but he is so much better than he was two years ago. Throughout this pandemic it has been a relief to know that more than just his physical needs are being taken care of. They love him.
The worst facility I have ever experienced, the care is thoughtful but the way I have been treated as a family member has been disgusting. I have been denied private time with my mother and am not allowed to take her off the premises. I have reported this facility to the Ca. Social Services department for investigation. There is NO reason for this because it is suppose to be a non restrictive facility for the guest. I will bring in law enforcement if I have to.
