If I could give a zero star I would. So I started CMHA years ago and honestly it was really awesome. The programs were awesome and so were the case workers. However, seems like the case workers have zero accountability for communication and never reschedule till you message them. They are always in a rush at closing your file instead of actually doing their job. (Helping the person). Lady on the phone made me feel worthless and asked if I ever thought about moving, I explained that I didn't get enough money from welfare to move and then was told to lose my attitude and be thankful for what I have.
Staff is so nice and have really helped me come a long way.
Honestly? This organization could do so much better. Case workers can't recognize when their clients are in crisis or volatile and acting out or cancelling services due to overwhelming emotions and clearly aren't in control of themselves. The de-escalation skills are lacking or nonexistent. I've been yelled at by a case worker before then had wait at the bottom of the barrel for another one, complained about her and never heard back, because why would I?
