I am extremely appreciative of the support from ARC. If you need to detox, come here. If you’ve never had this experience before, here are some tips from a fellow first-timer. They can only accommodate so many patients a day; there are only so many beds, so you might have to try again the following day. During intake, be honest about your alcohol or drug use. If you're in need of help and detox this is the place to go. The staff there go above and beyond and treat everyone with dignity and respect no matter what brought them there. They feed you well and it's all medically supervised so they make your withdrawals bearable and in some cases keep you alive (e.g. seizures) they also provide other resources to keep you on the path to recovery and can refer you to longer term rehab facilities and get you prescriptions for when you leave once you consult their doctor on site.
