Hands down the best gym for anyone that feels intimidated by the gym. The trainers are patient and kind. The owner and is approachable and knowledgeable. The entire atmosphere is positive and there’s never a wait for equipment. The classes will push you, but the trainers will customize the exercises to your level of ability so you will never feel like you are lagging behind. I’ve actually gone to this exact building since 2010 when it was Redding Fitness. I moved to Sacramento for college for 8 years (2011-2018) and no gym down there ever replaced the atmosphere. When I moved back, it was Adamsons and now is Smitty Built. But throughout the last 16 years, it’s still the same environment. Smitty Built is an awesome locally owned Gym in Redding, CA. Very friendly staff & Clean gym. Multiple areas upstairs and downstairs to work out at. They have machines and platforms for everyone. Saunas in both the men and women locker rooms. Basketball Gym, Boxing, and specialized classes! Definitely recommend going here rather than any franchised nationwide gym in Redding.
