Except customer service and reliable pickup and drop off. I have been using Adams and Swett for probably 40 years. I Started when they were in Boston and now they pick up and deliver from their facility. This is the only way I feel that my rugs get really clean! They do a great job!
I have used Adams & Swett for years to get my oriental carpets cleaned. My parents used them for decades before I did! They know rugs. The service is always consistent and dependable. The new location in Quincy is not as convenient for me as the past location on Mass Ave. But it is much safer. There's a discount if you drop off and pick up yourself, but no need to. I had a terrible experience with Adams and Swett, and was reminded of it this morning, when I received a reminder from them to clean my rugs. They ruined my beautiful over-dyed teal rug, from Bloomingdales. It came back faded, discolored, and streaked with yellow. They would take no responsibility for it, except for offering me a $100 refund (I spent $7,000 on sale for the rug), which I was too stunned to even accept.
