The saying "smooth sailing" never rang so true as the afternoon we went out with Captain Paul! Our sailing outing was for a birthday surprise and Paul was so accommodating in making it a unique and memorable experience. His general knowledge of sailing and his stories of his own experiences made the sail comfortable and efficient. Rather than spend our Bay area sightseeing time crammed on a boat with a million other people, we went sailing with Captain Paul. He showed us all the sights in the Bay area and gave us the personal attention we would have never received on a larger vessel. May 10,2008 will now be a day that I will never forget for the rest of my life. My fiance suprised me by proposing to me on Captin Paul's sailboat in the middle of the San Francisco Bay. Captain Paul and his wife took us for a sail around the Bay and under the Golden Gate Bridge, where I proposed to Alison. Captain Paul broke out the pre-arranged champagne and the crew ensured that we had lots of lovely pictures of the event, which were sent on to us later by e-mail. A small group of friends who had never been sailing before gathered for a "2 hour cruise" around sunset. The weather was perfect, the skies clear, the water not too choppy, and you could see the Golden Gate Bridge, the city skyline, Alcatraz, and the surrounding islands. We had the most wonderful, incredible, unforgettable experience on 10/01/07 on FANSEA with Captain Paul. My fiancee surprised me by proposing on the sailboat at sunset. The special day would not have been possible without Captain Paul's planning, attention to detail, and his "going the extra mile." (Nautical mile? =) We will definitely be back to "sail out of Sausalito." What a beautiful day. We are so happy!
