An appointment with Dr Porta, a Hematologist, ended with her referring my husband to WRMC ER with a called-in request for him to receive IV iron and she requested a GI to scope for a possible bleeding ulcer. We spent hours waiting and instead of getting any of the requested treatments, Dr Skarda ordered a cat scan. When nothing was found on the scan we were treated with insensitivity and were sent home untreated.
