I went to see for a IME for an insurance company. Dr Bender demanded that I walk without my cane in his hallway and I told him I couldn’t nor would I as I would fall. He became very nasty as he continued his evaluation. When he generated his report he put down my gait was normal and I walked with an arm swing. Dr Bender lied on his report and I would WARN EVERYONE WHO READS THIS TO ALWAYS BRING A WITNESS. His loyalty is to the insurance company to the point that he would outright lie. Dr. Bender treats his money better than his patients. He exudes cold demeanor and projects an uncaring, indignant and apathetic attitude. On the day of my appointment I happened to have an excruciating nerve pain in the leg and because of it arrived minutes late for my appointment only to be turned away at the door! When I told him I was in severe pain and that it took me two hours to get to his office, and that I wouldn’t mind waiting to be seen later the same day, it fell on deaf ears.
