Adam Field is the closest you'll come to an onggi master outside of Korea making functional ware as the core of his practice. I had the privilege of doing a 7-day shadow session in his Helena, Montana studio, and we connected early over Korean fermentation and the onggi jar. I recently completed a 7-day shadow session with Adam and it was an amazing experience. He is very thoughtful and willing to share his pottery knowledge and experience with you. You are able to discuss your goals for the session beforehand and he helps you get what you want out of your time together. It was great to experience his work flow in his studio.
