My surgery did not turn out as expected. Dr Rothenburg was detached, dismissive, and avoided responsibility for ongoing knee issues. It was like he distanced himself rather than engaging with my concerns or offering help. This is what he messaged me: “I communicated my views to your primary…” and “pursue the plan as outlined by your primary doctor” It feels that he’s washing his hands instead of addressing possible complications from his own work. Dr. Rothenberg is an exceptional orthopedic surgeon. He is extremely skilled & has very high standards that warrant excellent surgical outcomes. I recently underwent a very complicated knee replacement surgery and can’t be more thrilled with my new knee and the significant improvement in the quality of my life. I’m so grateful to Dr. Rothenberg & the excellent care he has provided me.

Due to an accident, a rod, a plate, and eight screws were inserted starting just above my left knee ending at the top of my hip. After a long stint with physical therapy was discontinued, and months of river walking on my own, after 2.5 years, I finally decided to have my knee checked out as I still was not walking properly.
