cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Blau and their entire team. From my very first appointment through my colon surgery and recovery, I felt genuinely cared for, heard, and supported every step of the way. Dr. Blau took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions with patience, and made what could have been an overwhelming experience feel manageable and reassuring. Dr. Makes Everything Beautiful Blau did an amazing job with my Man's hernia surgery. After 2 years of covid, heavy hikes in interest rates, and everything else life throws at you... My Man was pounding out the overtime and he got hurt. Dr Blau and his team worked like clockwork to take care of him, the process was a dream from start to finish and they all did an amazing job. While his staff were very friendly, Dr. Blau lacks the capacity for active listening. I did not heal well from my surgery and had very little post-op care. If you are looking for a CRS who will actually listen to you, take his time, and not dismiss your symptoms, do NOT go to Dr.Blau. I ended up having to go to another surgeon who pointed out that I had an infection that Dr.Blau completely missed. I will now have to have another surgery and end 8 months of torture after my surgery with Dr.Blau.
I went to Dr Blau for a robot-assisted hernia repair. It was a truly enjoyable experience, if having a surgery could be enjoyable! From my initial consultation appointment, to the actual surgery at Melrose Wakefield hospital (which is a wonderful community hospital in Wakefield, MA), everything went smoothly, without a hitch!
