Not a good doctor and I understand why she is leaving the practice. Went in for possible MS. I was unable to walk much, in severe pain and she would not prescribe me any medication. After begging she finally prescribed something but the dosage was about 1/4 of a normal starting dose for neuropathy pain. She just didn't seem to know what she was doing or care about the fact that I was unable to walk and was in alot of pain. Never been to a "specialist" before that seems so incompetent. Dr. Uzo-Okereke, help me with the correct diagnosis on first visit during a complete neuro exam. I was in so much pain. Her treatment plan helped me. I had no relief with more than 2 years of suffering around the clock with daily a headache, vertigo and daily pain. I highly recommend Dr. Uzo-Okereke.
Ugh … this office cannot get it together. Seriously. I have been a patient here for almost a year and I swear they mess up more than they get right. I am forever calling them with no return calls. They are terrible with insurance stuff. They never submit the proper documentation on time. I speak to them and hear that my insurance won’t cover something and then I call my insurance and they tell me that if the office would just submit the correct paperwork in a timely manner it would be approved without issue. Helped my headaches immensely. Dr. Uzo spent 45 minutes reviewing my headache history, medication use, what worked and what didn't. She did a thorough neuro exam and discussed treatment options. I am very happy with the injections and the medication prescribed. I've never had such relief from my headaches.
I had an MRI of my brain, my PCP advised this. The results showed I have had 2 small strokes. My PCP referred me to Dr. Uzo-Okereke. Since no one from this office has contacted me in almost 2 weeks to set up an appt. I figure my life must seem inconsequential to them. I called her office and was told they could get me in in February, I told the girl I could be dead by then. I am not saying Dr. Uzo-Okereke is a bad doctor maybe it is the staff.
