Transportation is awful! Don’t send your loved one here if you have a job and need to be on time for work. We’ve been at front door waiting for van since 6:30 am. I’ve called program twice. It’s 9:15 am now. I wonder if Massachusetts (Masshealth and DDS) pay for full days at this program. Active life hours on website are 7am to 4 pm. The van arrives anytime between 7:00 and 9:30 for pickup and drops off as early as 12:30 pm. Participants are lucky if they even get 5 hours there. My friend attends Active Life and enjoys the outings and winning prizes and the food. It is a good fit for her! The weekend hours are especially good to combat weekend boredom. She reports “it was a good day” on a regular basis.

I would like to educate everyone and staff as well. About down syndrome. People like me with down syndrome. Also down syndrome can get aggressive out of where. Aggressive state in down syndrome can happen when a person has medical conditions. Like Anxiety and stress and depression. And lack of sleep. I have insomnia does a part of it. I accept it .I am taking melatonin o treat it. If you all think doesn't work. I will my doctors to increase it.
