Dr Melody Rodarte ordered an ultrasound that included a transvaginal internal procedure and failed to disclose that fact beforehand. I was not informed in advance that an invasive exam was part of the imaging order. There was no prior explanation sufficient to allow for informed consent. I sent her an email expressing my concern. I cannot express my gratitude enough for Dr Rodarte and her entire staff. When I met her 4 years ago I had already been through two other doctors who did not take my health issues seriously at all. When I hit menopause I gained 30 pounds practically overnight, had zero energy, and my thyroid gland seemed to just stop working.
