I am a ballroom dance instructor and competitor and was ecstatic to find Action Fabrics.I had been looking for someone who understands dance, particularly costumes and fitting. I had purchased a new Latin dress that needed to be taken in. Not only were they able to make it fit wonderfully but they also were able to add more stones to make it really pop on the competitive floor. I am so happy with their work. Wanted to show my recent fashion design graduate, Arizona native, badass cousin something cool in Illinois that would truly inspire him and leaving him craving more. WE WERE SUCESSFUL! And needless to say, we were blown away by the fabrics, the art work, and the staff. My daughter got a brand new Irish dance dress delivered from Ireland on Monday. It was about two sizes too big. Julie took us in on Tuesday and had to almost remake the entire dress for it to fit. Her team spent 9 hours getting the alterations done and I picked it up on Wednesday. It's perfect. We leave for the National Championships on Monday so this was a rush job and they handled it like the pros they are. I ordered about 60 skirts from Action fabrics for my Irish dancers. Julie sent sample sizes for all the students to try and even made a special longer length for the taller dancers. Her customer service is amazing!!! She met deadline requests and even shipped 8 certain sizes earlier since we needed them for a performance. I also asked for 3 more sizes after the order was placed and Julie took care of it!! We love the skirts, love action fabrics and love Julie!
Cannot believe how easy they made the process of altering an Irish dancing costume. They were so fast and reasonable. This was by far the best experience!!! Highly recommended!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Action Fabrics. My daughter had a complete new Irish Solo Dance Dress made by Julie and her team. The dress is absolutely gorgeous and very quality made. My daughter and i met julie and her team when we had brought in a body suit and material and had shown julie a sketch that my daughter did with her dad it was a costume for her baton solo not only did julie and. Her team work do make this a reality they made it outstanding my daughters solo costume is her absolute favorite.
