Finished basement with a media area, small wet bar and a 3/4 bath. The initial walkthrough was thorough, the guy pointed out two things I hadn't even considered like where the sump pit needed access and how the egress window would affect the layout. Work took about 7 weeks. Framing inspector came and went without any issues. Tike in the bathroom is clean, the bar cabinets line up dead even. Found Cordes when searching around Skokie and their reviews were pretty consistent so we reached out. They had a clear plan for the layout and kept things moving without a bunch of delays. Our basement actually feels like a real living space now, not just a concrete box with some carpet.
so we had our basement finished and honestly the space was just sitting there being useless for years. concrete floor, exposed ceiling, a couple random boxes in the corner. got a quote from Cordes for a basement remodel and they were pretty responsive from the start. the person who came out took measurements and actually listened to what we wanted instead of just pushing ideas. once work started the crew showed up on time most days which i appreciate. they framed everything out, ran new electrical, put up drywall and painted. it looks like a real living space now not just a basement. communication was solid throughout, they texted updates when stuff was happening. happy with how it all came tog... read more
