I feel abused. Locksmith estimated over the phone to be about $140 because I have a 2015 Silverado with zero technology. It took him about 10 minutes. He used to pump cracked up the door, used a stick popped up the door and said because he had to go to this step. It was gonna be $300. Looking online 300 is the charge for a full technology Locksmith cost. Like a 2025 model for example.. the site was Mckinney Texas. It took him 10 minutes to get there and it was at 6 PM. I feel abused. It took him 10 mins & he was 10 mins away. On the phone we were ballparked $140. But after he acted like he couldn’t pick the lock, which was bad acting & questionable, he said it was gonna cost more because he had to do something else. So he got a pump, opened a crevice in driver door & then stuck a pole in and got the door open. Success. Then he told me because he had to do that extra 5 minute step.
