We are so thankful for our experience with Acorn Psychology. Our daughter is very high masking with a PDA profile, and this was the first time we felt truly understood by professionals. Acorn psychology is a friendly and inviting clinic with great psychologists. I felt very supported and confident during my daughter's assessment with them!
Likely means well, but a recent presentation on autism given was grossly unprofessional. It included copious stories about her own teenage child, the child's friends, and other clients - which violated their right to privacy and confidentiality when given and as the presentation has been recorded for distribution. She even commented that her son was going to be upset at her telling all of these stories about him. Terrible presentation on autism, especially for a psychologist! Ethical issues around confidentiality, difficult to follow, poor verbal presentation of material, and outdated information. I had to leave at the halfway point.
