I love the chain known as Pizzeria Chicago and or UNOs. Their isn't one with in hours of Raleigh. I dislike NY style pizza. I stumbled upon this place by googling it. It was amazing. My wife and our 7 year old son said it was incredible.
Called in an ordered for a deep dish sausage pie and a cheese pie. Told it would be 30 minutes, had to wait another 25 minutes before it was done but it was worth the wait. Staff was very friendly and even asked if I wanted something to drink while I waited. Both pies were very tasty
Went in and ordered take out Pizza before the Panther game today, very few people in the restaurant, but met and made to feel welcome by the staff. Ordered a thin crust with several toppings and some extra sauce, I live five minutes from Acme, so was surprised to see that the crust was soggy in the middle when I got home. From MI visiting family and looking for a good pizza def found it at Acme. The pizza slices are huge and the garlic knots are delicious! We ordered twice during a week visit. Acme accidentally messed up our food the first time we ordered, the manager was very kind and understanding, she have us 75% our bill and a free beer while she corrected out order.
Exceptional, singular, hearty pizza. The only other Chicago pizza available within NC I've known is the franchise Uno's and Rosati's in Morrisville. Compared to those, this is a higher echelon of pizza. Order the Chicago-style pan pizza for the real experience. This is pizza worthy of the gourmand, a pizza anyone would consider sui generis. The type of pizza experience I'd say could rival this would be something like John's Pizza on Broadway NYC, or the now defunct Klausie's foodtruck pizza.
Chicago in NC. This is a great little neighborhood spot in Holly Springs. It's small enough to feel intimate, but it can still seat several families. First, the Chicago-style pizza is authentic, so expect to wait as it takes time to make a good deep dish. Acme's garlic knots are phenomenal too. Their service is the best. When we visited the owner greeted us, and checked in on our family throughout our meal. We plan on making this a regular stop for pizza.
