Just took it in again. Fast and effective. It was time for a new timing belt. The car runs great. It will last for years. I'll be sharing the keys with my kid in two years! They do a great job. Just took in for regular service. My 14 year old Sub runs like it's new. I'm careful to take it to Ackerman's on schedule for service. One less worry in life, especially before road trips, and with Ackerman's care, the car will outlast me.
Ackermans has taken care of my cars for 15 years. They're always honest, never pushy, and tell you what's needed now and what can wait. I trust their integrity and expertise completely--top notch service every time. They give back to the community too. I always receive a check for my charity of choice (my kids' schools in my case) reflecting 5% of what I spent on service. This is an amazing local business that I am happy to support. They do it right.
My 98 Volvo failed a smog test and lo and behold, Ackerman's was right next door to the smog test place and had good reviews. Plus side, they sussed out that it was vacuum hose issues AND as an added bonus, they took the initiative to take my car next door to have it re-smogged,,(passed) so when i showed up not only were repairs done, I didnt have to go next door and wait for my test. Was very disappointed with recent service from Ackerman's. I had been experiencing recent issues with charging system in my Volvo. Didn't get much advice, just noted other issues with my vehicle and didn't seem to have interest or time to address the issues. May be ok for standard Volvo maintenance program stuff but wouldn't rely on for anything else.
