My overall experience at Achieve was deeply harmful. At my most vulnerable, I was retraumatized by staff who, in my view, showed clear insensitivity toward those who aren't frum. As someone raised frum but am now OTD, I felt "othered" from the start, especially when discussing my mixed-race child and concerns about racism and abuse in her environment.
